耶和华的膀臂并非缩短，不能拯救，耳朵并非发沉，不能听见（赛59：1）。 我呼求的日子，你就应允我，鼓励我，使我心里有能力（诗138：3）。我正祷告的时候，先前在异象中所见的那位加百列，奉命迅速飞来，约在献晚祭的时候，按手在我身上（但9：21）。 不要向我掩面。不要发怒赶逐仆人，你向来是帮助我的。救我的 神啊，不要丢掉我，也不要离弃我（诗27：9）。耶和华啊，求你不要远离我；我的救主啊，求你快来帮助我（诗22：19）！ 主耶和华啊，你曾用大能和伸出来的膀臂创造天地，在你没有难成的事（耶32：17）。他曾救我们脱离那极大的死亡，现在仍要救我们，并且我们指望他将来还要救我们（林后1：10）。 神的选民，昼夜呼吁他，他纵然为他们忍了多时，岂不终久给他们伸冤吗？我告诉你们：要快快的给他们伸冤了（路18：7，8）。 Behold； the Lord's hand is not shortened； that it cannot save； neither is his ear heavy； that it cannot hear。

他铺张云彩当遮盖，夜间使火光照（诗105：39）。 父亲怎样怜恤他的儿女，耶和华也怎样怜恤敬畏他的人。因为他知道我们的本体，思念我们不过是尘土（诗103：13，14）。 白日，太阳必不伤你；夜间，月亮必不害你（诗121：6）。必有亭子，白日可以得荫避暑，也可以作为藏身之处，躲避狂风暴雨（赛4：6）。
保护你的是耶和华，耶和华在你右边荫庇你。你出你入，耶和华要保护你，从今时直到永远（诗121：5，8）。日间，耶和华在云柱中领他们的路；夜间，在火柱中光照他们，使他们日夜都可以行走。日间云柱，夜间火柱，总不离开百姓的面前（出13：21，22）。 耶稣基督昨日今日一直到永远，是一样的（来13：8）。 He spread a cloud for a covering； and fire to give light in the night。 Like as a father pitieth his children； so the LORD pitieth them that fear him。 For he knoweth our frame； he remembereth that we are dust。 The sun shall not smite thee by day； nor the moon by night。 — There shall be a tabernacle
